Tests and quizzes are included.
At the end of each main section is a practice exercise that functions as a test or quiz.
Visilearn tutorials
Based on pictures, not words
Most technology textbooks use long passages of text, and contain over 50,000 words. Visilearn tutorials use large pictures, and contain around five thousand words—one-tenth as many.
Research-proven
Visilearn were developed as part of a U.S. Department of Education research study to create computer learning materials for LD and ELL students.
The study showed that the tutorials worked well for everyone, not just special needs students. Review the research study.
Teacher-friendly
"I completely agree with your idea that showing students how to do something is much better than just telling them."
Read more teacher comments that explain how Visilearn tutorials are:
- Suitable for all ages.
Other materials are age- and grade-specific. Visilearn tutorials enable all students to learn, from 3rd Grade to college-level. - Focused on tasks, not features.
Other texts concentrate on features—what a program can do. Visilearn tutorials focus on tasks—the things students want to do.
